Meet CA SB553 Training Requirements! Workplace violence is something we’ve seen on TV and social media and read in the headlines more frequently now than in previous years. These often tell us a story of the disgruntled employee coming into the workplace with a gun. Believe it or not, this is not the most common form of workplace violence. It may be what we read and watch about, but there are other more subtle forms of workplace violence that need to be addressed. This course demonstrates practical—and even necessary—tools to help keep the company safe in today’s hectic and pressure-filled world.

Being prepared… that’s what can dramatically change your chance of prevailing during an armed intruder event. Why? Because the intruder is NOT counting on you being ready to act! A trained response allows for immediate action and a better opportunity to prevail. If you find yourself in an armed intruder event, you are the true first responder! You’ll have 2-5 minutes to take immediate action. Action that can save lives. The bottom line is this… Think about those around you… or your loved ones…Is there someone worth LIVING for? As an administrator, teacher or staff member… others look to you for help… especially in times of need. One of the times you may be asked to lead is when the unthinkable happens. It may help you to think of preparing for an armed intruder event in the same way that you prepare your staff or students for a fire, an earthquake or tornado. By taking a few minutes to train for one of these events, you know what to do in the very unlikely event that it actually happens.
